Hailed as an “inspired” and “versatile” singer, Jessica Stolte Bender has been performing throughout the Long Island/New York Metro area for the past 17 years. Ms. Bender is a recurring artist of the Opera Night series (www.operanight.org) on Long Island and has made several appearances with Music On The Sound, a concert series based out of Port Jefferson, NY. Jessica made her Carnegie Hall debut with New York Lyric Opera Theatre in their production of Love, Passion and Betrayal, a concert version of various scenes from opera’s favorite tragedies in November, 2012.
Continuously furthering her own education in the world of classical singing, Jessica attended the Westchester Summer Vocal Institute in Bronxville, in June, 2012. MS. Bender holds a Master of Arts in Voice Performance from The Aaron Copland School of Music, CUNY Queens. During her time there she performed such Mozart roles as Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte, and Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro, in addition to Second Woman in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. She also performed in scenes from many of opera’s well known works including Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, and Postcards from Morroco by Dominick Argento. Prior to this, Ms. Bender earned her baccalaureate degree from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam .
Musical theatre credits include roles in Into the Woods, The Sound of Music, Pippin, A Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, The Pajama Game, and The Boyfriend in addition to several cabaret and review style shows.
In addition to expanding her performance opportunities, Jessica looks forward to continuing to build her studio and hopes to one day teach voice in a community college setting, helping to prepare young musicians for a four year degree.

Jessica Stolte Bender is a true professional. Since we first worked together in 2007, I've watched Ms. Bender grow tremendously as both a singer and an individual. Never unprepared, and always eager and willing to learn and try new things, her repertoire is vast, her attitude is professional, and her demeanor is calm and supportive to all the other singers. She is a natural born leader, always up for the challenge of coordinating singers backstage, leading rehearsals, or even putting schedules together. Coaches and pianists find her a joy to work with; she presents flawless diction, precise rhythm, and unblemished pitch. Her attire is always in impeccable taste and audiences across New York love her. From classical opera repertoire to musical theatre and popular styles, Jessica never ceases to impress every member of the audience. She has a truly special and unique sound that resonates beautifully to the back of every hall. It is warm, inviting, round, and voluptuous. I have found it to be an honor and pleasure to have worked with Jessica across so many modalities, and I could not recommend someone more highly.

I am well acquainted with the work of Jessica Stolte Bender, both as a singing artist and as a voice teacher. I wholeheartedly recommend her. In our performances together she has displayed an exceptional soprano voice, strong technical ability and musical sensitivity. In addition, I have had the pleasure of working with many of her students. She is a dedicated teacher who always goes the extra mile for them.
